The very hot dry weather stopped our honey production this year but we are very excited about the current rainfall and the prospect of a decent flow of honey again. We hope to see everyone at Gin Gin and Mt. Perry markets in a week or two
Come along to the Gin Gin Saturday morning markets and enjoy the traditional country market atmosphere.
We will be there every Saturday up to the Christmas break.
The Blue gum blossom at Boolbunda is over, now the bees are working Brush box at Bania. Its been an abundant spring with an excellent early flow of Spotted gum also.
Our honey stocks are currently exhausted due to drought conditions and one of the coldest winters, plagued by several weeks of frosts and icy cold westerlies. Apologies to customers who are waiting on a supply of Perry Gold Honey, Spring is just around the corner and hopefully a bumper season for everyone. We will keep you posted.
Honey is flowing once again at Perry Gold after one of the worst droughts on record. All but two hives survived the drought, with all hives on schedule to be in full production later this year. The Blue Gum has started flowering and is producing a reasonable honey flow. Narrow Leafed Iron Bark is showing signs of a big season later in the year if the weather is kind.
Perry Gold Honey is harvested exclusively from the native trees growing in the clean air of the Mount Perry mountain ranges in Queensland.
Perry Gold Honey is filtered unprocessed honey that retains all its natural flavours, nutritional and health properties.
We offer a range of honeys including Iron bark, Yellow Box, Brush Box, Blue Gum, Stringy Bark and Blood Wood, to name but a few of the rich diversity of the tree flora of the region.
